Whenever we've been passing through Yass, Cafe Dolcetto has been a pleasant place to visit. The coffee is well made, attractively presented and served by staff properly trained in making the coffeeist feel welcome and at home. The outside ambiance is delightful on a sunny day. Sheltered but open. The seating is comfortable. The menu is standard cafe Australia. The toasted sandwiches and burgers are well made and super tasty so great for a quick meal. We've been coming here for many years and as things stand, many more to come.
As one of only a few places open in a very quiet Sunday afternoon in Yass, Cafe Dolcetto was pretty busy. Stressed staff were rushed and consistently unsmiling. No country charm here.The food came out quickly. The avocado on sourdough with mushrooms was just that and nothing more. Not unpleasant but not tasty beyond the natural flavours. The kids said the BLT was OK, but not enough bacon and too much mayonnaise. The iced coffee was good, but the hot latte was not, no coffee flavour. The fruit smoothies though, they were delicious. Made from a pack in a NutriBullet type contraption. We sat in the courtyard out the back which was pretty dull and unprepossessing, but at least it caught a breeze on a hot day. It was OK but if I was driving through again I'd try somewhere else.
I have only ever been here for coffee but for a small country town, knowing where the good coffee is is essential. Its worth pulling into Yass for this great regional caf. Thanks again. I'll be back soon!
Great food, great coffee, fast service and reasonable prices. Egg and bacon roll was huge. Steak sandwich almost defeated me! Highly recommended.
Lovely ambience out the back, where we sat. The food was fabulous, and the wait staff pleasant. We ordered Eggs Benedict and a Reuben on Turkish. Generous serves and delicious.
