Pies were average. Large servings of salad which was great.Quick service with a variety of food options available. Good place to stop off for lunch and a break from the car
You are greeted at the door with a welcoming smile. The meals are moderately priced for the large sized portions. The coffee was good. The only down-side was the pot of tea. A tea bag in the saucer and a pot of hot water. The water also had a metallic taste to it. There's a long walk to the toilet but that is in keeping with historic building. But the staff are super efficient and friendly. Despite the tea, I'd go again.
What beautiful service - door opened for you on entering (someone leaving at the time ) and leaving. Food is well presented and tastes wonderful. Coffee is absolutely a standout. But the service is what I noticed most and would come back for next time in the area. Well done to the two young men working this day..
Look... The food wasn't bad, it was about average. It was the price that was crazy. $5.90 for a sausage roll or as I like to call it meat loaf wrapped in pastry. But wait, that's not the best bit. You know those little sauce sachets you get for 20 cents... A full dollar... $1. So by the time we got our salad sandwich, four sausage rolls and sauce for each, plus the eftpos surcharge, most places you would expect to get away with anywhere between $20 and $30... It was $38... I had to go down to the bank and take out a second mortgage and reached my credit limit before I could order coffee. If you have your house paid off and your shares are doing well you could consider this place. Could be cheaper to hire a private charted flight to Melbourne or Sydney buy your lunch and fly back then continue your trip. This place has made it to my coveted black list usually reserved only for places I've gotten food poisoning from. You can add that one to your awards if you like.
WOW! What a selection of delicious gourmet foods. My husband had the sweet lamb curry pie with rocket salad and he said it was amazing! I had poached eggs & grilled tomato on sourdough. Yum. Coffee was good too.Service was friendly & efficient!! Definitely recommend stopping here for brekky or lunch!
